PROJECT INSPIRE
Established in 2013, Project Inspire supports student organizations at the University of
Michigan focused on K-12 educational outreach. The initiative aims to empower these
organizations to expose and encourage youth to consider higher education options while
broadening their post-secondary goals. Project Inspire provides resources, including training
sessions, outreach toolkits, program consulting and financial support through a grant program.
The training sessions, emphasizing practical skills for developing and implementing outreach
programs, cover engaging scenarios and information tailored to diverse populations. The
training focuses on best practices, equipping student groups to inform through engagement
strategies with an equity lens, engage with diverse K-12 student groups, and inspire effective
partnerships with school personnel in underserved communities.
