“H
ow do you want an audience to walk away or feel?” Working in educational outreach may not be the
same as performing on stage night after night, but for Michael Turner, whose background includes
acting and music in addition to social work, his end goal is the same.
Turner has worked for the Center of Educational Outreach since shortly after its inception 15 years ago in 2009.
Community connection was pivotal to CEO’s early success, and Turner’s work experience as a youth director in
Southwest Detroit managing after-school programs was essential for what CEO was to become.
