A SHIAWASSEE LEGACY
The Cook Family Foundation was led for more than 40 years by Bruce and Jacqueline
Cook, who remained champions of the Shiawassee Scholars program until their
deaths in 2022 (Bruce) and 2023 (Jacqueline). The program has expanded to include
staff in the school district to support the Scholars throughout the year.

providing disadvantaged and rural students with the information and funding they
need to attend U-M or other colleges remains unmatched. We've enjoyed working
with him and his family and the Shiawassee RESD, CEO, and all our campus partners
to provide a memorable campus experience for the Shiawassee Scholars each year."
