MPULSE
MPulse is a residential performing arts summer program designed for high school students who
have interest in pursuing their area of study in a higher education setting. MPulse is a
transformative experience for young artists that launches them into the college audition
process with a newfound confidence, knowledge base, and passion for the arts. MPulse
Participants study with world-renowned faculty at the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance
(U-M SMTD) and guest teaching artists in state-of-the-art facilities. Programs range from one
to four weeks in duration with room and board included. CEO has helped provide this
opportunity for students in Michigan since 2011 with the Watson A. Young Scholarship.
Since 2011, the Center for Educational Outreach has provided financial
assistance for high school students attending MPulse. This support has made it
possible for several students to attend MPulse and study directly with faculty at
U-M SMTD. This opportunity can be life changing, and has directly resulted in
students applying to and attending the University of Michigan.
