INTEND TO ATTEND
Intend to Attend (I2A) was established in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts to
support 8th-12th grade students as they explore various post-secondary options, including
vocational schools, community colleges, and four-year colleges and universities. By providing
tailored college coaching, developing digital tools, and offering learning opportunities, I2A
empowers students to build their own personalized pathway after high school. I2A’s focus is on
scalable solutions that take the best of in-person support and deliver it to students who may
not otherwise have access. While providing tools to everyone, they aim to offer personalized
support and resources for underrepresented students from underserved communities across
Michigan. Its team includes undergraduate Ambassadors who represent various communities
and experiences, and their essential perspectives have contributed directly to the
development and growth of I2A.
Partnerships
Establishes partnerships to begin outreach
in four regions: Detroit (CEO), Grand
Rapids (Wolverine Pathways), Shiawassee
County (Shiawassee Scholars), and Upper
Peninsula (U.P. Scholars).
