The Lester Monts Award honors a faculty or staff member who has partnered with CEO to advance educational outreach.
The award was established in 2017 to honor Dr. Monts, the Arthur Thurnau Professor of Music, who, for 21 years, served as
senior vice provost for academic affairs and senior counselor for the president for the arts, diversity, and undergraduate
affairs. Through this work, Dr. Monts provided critical support establishing CEO.
