I appreciate working with CEO because of
the amazing team here, and because I truly
believe in the work we do in bringing together
higher education and K-12 communities. There is
a spirit of collaboration and community in everything
we do. (Kristin Tuttle, CEO staff since 2023)
Representation matters and the more that our students,
families, and educators see themselves, the more they are
able to envision themselves in spaces that have always been ours.
We belong in every space that we enter. (Antonio Junior-Robbins,
CEO staff since 2019)
CEO is a place where one’s passion, talent and drive for
making the world shine brighter all come together.
Working with countless dedicated faculty and staff from
across the state inspires me daily. I deeply appreciate the
mission, work, people and growth I’ve experienced within my
time at CEO. (Marissa Taylor, CEO staff since 2018)
As a former college adviser, CEO allows me to
continue doing the work I love—developing and
strengthening our Michigan College Advising Corps.
With every year, our advisers are able to better inform
students about post-secondary pathways, engage them
in navigating the twists and turns of the process, and
inspire them to follow through on their goals. (Patrick MullenCoyoy, CEO staff since 2018)
I am passionate about educational outreach because it is
vital work that helps break down historically constructed
barriers of injustice and ensures that all students have access
to all opportunities for their futures. (Megan Ahlquist-Cheung, CEO
staff since 2021)
Working with the Center for Educational Outreach helped
me realize my passion for working with K-12 students. I initially
joined the CEO's Michigan College Advising Corps for
something to do during my gap year before graduate school, but
I changed career paths! I now get to help students learn about
different opportunities and encourage them to reach for their
dreams. (Tiffany Hackett, CEO staff since 2023)
I believe in being a part of purpose and mission-driven work. CEO
has always created that space and
continues to do just that.

In life, you will meet many people from many walks of life. It
is rare that you get a team of people who are all amazing
in many ways that are fueled by passion and heart. CEO
Team is a 95% mixture of passion and heart and 5%
everything you need to make a great powerhouse of a team.
I am thoroughly convinced that CEO and its community is
the heart of the University. I'm just waiting on U-M to realize
that. It's coming. (Marchelle Olive, CEO staff since 2023)
My purpose has deepened and evolved at CEO. I am
passionate about sharing our collective personal and
professional stories. Through programming and consulting,
we engage our partnerships through shared stories
because it unites us for a greater cause. Storytelling is a
powerful tool for students, empowering them to own their
narratives. It encourages connection, empowerment, and
resource expansion, making higher education more
accessible as students move through their life-changing
journey. (Sheri Samaha, CEO staff since 2016)
