WOLVERINE EXPRESS
The Wolverine Express is an innovative high school visitation initiative that invites University of
Michigan faculty, staff and students to Michigan high schools. This program aims to inspire and
empower students through engaging presentations on college access and career exploration,
illuminating the various pathways to higher education and providing students with essential
information about their college options. By fostering connections between U-M and the K-12
community, Wolverine Express is a conduit for resource collaboration, developing sustainable
partnerships, and promoting excitement about future opportunities. U-M representatives
motivate students to envision and pursue their unique educational and career aspirations by
sharing personal and professional stories, initiating meaningful dialogues about the value of
higher education and encouraging students to explore careers they may not have previously
considered.
